well, you asked!

here are some pictures describing my life lately. of course focusing on pork chop and her hair cut. summer camp is over- we plan for it for 7 months, have it for 2 months, and recover from it for 3 months. it doesn’t leave much room for error.

i’m working mostly from home and doing fun projects, like a newsletter and website stuff. getting ready for a lot of visitors! hilary, nat’s cousin, today! beth, one of my good good friends, on thursday! then i have my mom, mother-in-law, nat’s stepbrother and hopefully my dad in september. i also found out that one of my arts admin buddies took a job in harrisburg, pa, so hopefully i’ll see her soon too! and in october, autumn’s coming from san diego! AND in november, another one of my besties, anna is coming from pdx! i am sppppppoiled.

i had a bump ticket from when i went to puerto rico this april and i’m seattle bound in october-november. west coast, watch out! i’ve missed you so!

cats don’t eat porkchops!

althought, nat claims that they do. on monday (see, i’ve been slacking on the bloggins), mimi and i finished my office and had a new couch, large ottoman, and 2 chairs delivered to our living room for anniversary (4 years on december 18th!) and christmas presents from nat and me to each other.

we stayed up rather late and by the time everything was properly constructed, we were famished. Nat made us some crispy artichoke hearts with basil and tomatoes for an appetizer, swiss chard, and porkchops for dinner. yummy!

tofu started begging for porkchops and nat was encouraging the little mongrel as she chowed down.

after dinner, mimi showed off her owwweeeeeeeeee elbow from her tumble down the stairs.

a friday night without the Tiny Tavern

You know, I’m not too used to having Friday nights and weekends off. Friday night t.v. is great. Nat and I are hanging out and watching a little t.v.- nothing like a little Charmed and a locally brewed bottle of beer (see East Coast Foods)… My mom gets here in the morning, so we are going to be eating Philly Cheesesteaks all day long.

I had a meeting with Grupo Motivos, wonderfully inspirational Puerto Rican woman. They gave me some organically grown tomatoes and some spicy peppers. So Nat is going going to make me pasta with them… I’m going to update East Coast Foods & Around Fishtown now… Especially because we are on the phone with Nat’s dad, Dan who is being hilariously inappropriate and I need to dump him off on Nat… Hahahah

things to look forward to!!!!! yes, that’s incorrect grammar, i know.

Nat is cooking salmon tonight. Here is a picture of fresh tomatoes from the NSNP’s garden and a salad and fresh lemon dressing that Nat is making. We are still cooking at home because for the next couple of months, we are po’. I know, I know, I tried to get Nat to go to ChickFilA tonight, but he wanted to cook, geesh.

The move has mentally, financially, and physically exhausted us and the cats, however we are on the mend. the cats are now speaking to each other and LOVE being outside in our back yard area. excuse the mess, we haven’t cleaned up the morning glories yet. Oh, there is a thing that is not so good. Snert Face’s fluffy tail is disappearing. I think she’s stressed out, but her tail is thinning out. It’s sad.

The Amish market was today. The park down the street from our house is where a family sets up their goods every Thursday. Nat didn’t have any pocket money so we are waiting until next week to visit. And maybe get a pie or two. Yummy. Nat is in search of a decent latté around here, which isn’t happening really. So, he’s been off the caffeine sauce for almost a week. No wonder he hasn’t been motivated to leave the air conditioned cats!

I am updating the Norris Square page right now too with some pictures that I took today.
