well, you asked!

here are some pictures describing my life lately. of course focusing on pork chop and her hair cut. summer camp is over- we plan for it for 7 months, have it for 2 months, and recover from it for 3 months. it doesn’t leave much room for error.

i’m working mostly from home and doing fun projects, like a newsletter and website stuff. getting ready for a lot of visitors! hilary, nat’s cousin, today! beth, one of my good good friends, on thursday! then i have my mom, mother-in-law, nat’s stepbrother and hopefully my dad in september. i also found out that one of my arts admin buddies took a job in harrisburg, pa, so hopefully i’ll see her soon too! and in october, autumn’s coming from san diego! AND in november, another one of my besties, anna is coming from pdx! i am sppppppoiled.

i had a bump ticket from when i went to puerto rico this april and i’m seattle bound in october-november. west coast, watch out! i’ve missed you so!

my first trip “home” for christmas

i’m updating my bloggins as i sit in the philadelphia airport and watch bad breaking news stories on CNN (like the guy that has blue skin because he drank some potion and how last minute voters are like last minute shoppers, etc.).

this week has been pretty intense. the mother of a friend (and co-worker) in philadelphia passed away and so it’s been a bit emotional. i love how christmas is on a tuesday so i have 11 days off! i am headed to oregon! woohooo! because nat had to work (gggggrrrrrrrr), i am flying alone. nat is heartbroken that he has to stay home alone without me.

tofu guarded/ate the tree as i decorated it.

as i sit in the philly airport, i am thankful for my pretty new purse that nat got my for christmas. of course, he didn’t know it until i had already bought it (hehehe).

To Eugene!

eating our way across philadelphia and going to parties

Yup, I started my day by taking pictures of a pig on a spit at 8:30 am. There was a party hosted by some of the women involved with NSNP (my work) and my mom and I woke up early to help with the preparations.

Then we decided to go to the Italian Market. Please see East Coast Foods for the pictures.

After an afternoon of wondering around, we went to the party. It was a good thing that Ricardo had a machete big enough to hack at the pig.

Nat ate the foot. With glee. He asked for it.

It was a fun celebration with food, music, and dancing.

I took my mom and Nat on a tour through the NSNP African garden.

We were tired when we got home because of our long day of running around. So we ate more pie and ice cream. Then I talked to my Granddad from Seattle and he and my Grandmom are going to spend the night with us on Monday! How ironic that I leave the West Coast and all of my people are coming here! Beth and Abe are coming on Wednesday too.

does everybody have a crazy father-in-law?

Nat and his dad are on the phone right now and his dad is talking about promiscuous toads.

ah, it feels good to be home

After a day of work, I am going to do some updates to “At the Shore” and “East Coast Foods” right now. Just to let y’all know, I lost my camera a couple of weeks ago and have been using my parents, but now my mom fetched it from me. I’ll get a new one as soon as the big bucks start rolling in, right? But until then, the pictures might be sparse.

Nat’s had several interviews, so he’ll probably start work soon. His birthday is on Friday, but for some reason, he thought that it was Saturday. I hope that he has Friday night off, because my mom is going to make him a pie. He will be 36.

We’re having a great time in Philadelphia. We get to hang out with each other. I get to eat good, fresh food. And Tofu and Snert Face seem to like being inner city cats as well.
