on a day that’s 95 degrees with tornado warnings in philadelphia, i thought that it might be time to take some time out for the finer things in life: writing on my blog that only my mom reads and starting to get some discipline in my life by reflecting daily. so here it goes!
i am sitting in my house in philly, with pork chop snuggled under a chair to hide from the heat after she had a traumatic day at the vet getting shots in her bottom and steroids for the road. she is allergic to fleas and has been gnawing on her hiney. ouch! i had a long day of meetings and have been working from home this afternoon to sit with her while she’s still groggy. it’s hard to tell if she’s quiet because of her itchy hiney or the 100 degree whether or missing nat! probably a combination of the three. i can relate other than the itchy hiney!
nat is in seattle until june 21st (yay!) where he is apprenticing at the swinery chopping up porks. he’s really interested in artisan meat products like sausage, salami and prociutto. hopefully he can work professionally doing that kinda stuff out here for the next few years. more updates on this to come!
alrighty. i have to say that i want to write 15 pages or so right now, but i can’t spill all my guts at once! be back tomorrow!

So glad you’re back to blogging so I have something to read.
Love.
of course! i have a lot to write but with nat gone, the cat sits on my keyboard and pork chop licks my face. it’s hard to get writing time in!
I didn’t know that’s what Nat was doing here…we were just there yesterday! I had an awesome pork belly BLT and Ben had a pork belly blue cheese burger. YUM!!!
haha! small world! all of his pictures of the food look amazing- not the raw pork being hacked to bits, but the burgers and fries… mmmm…
