i know i’m a slacker

I just emptied my camera from the last 2 weeks and I had almost 600 pictures. I’ll spare you all of the torture of looking at 600 pictures and just summarize. Our friend Adam came out to visit. We ate lots of food. We went to New Jersey for Thanksgiving. We ate lots of food.

Thanksgiving was great. Nat was in charge of the 26.5 lb turkey.

The drive was pretty.

Last weekend our friend Adam visited. We went shopping. For way too long.

Nat had to go to work though.

After a long day of shopping, Adam and I went out to eat at Il Cantucce. A restaurant in Northern Liberties. I got the venison.  Adam got something fishy. We split the clams.

Fortunately, we didn’t forget about Nat. I got him a coat.

Nat and I went to Ida Mae’s a little Irish café in Fishtown. He got the Irish Breakfast. Meaty. And I got oatmeal.

When we got home, we discovered that Tofu had made a mess of herself and that she needed a bath. Nat jumped up to the challenge.

chef nat!

Nat came in and did a cooking demonstration for the kids at NSNP. Now, for someone who is completely and totally shy, it was pretty brave of him. It was also brave of him to make tabbouleh. Because what kids like parlsey and quinoa (the bulgar was unavailable). We chose that because he could chop stuff up a lot. The kids were fascinated and all EXTREMELY quiet. Which is very unusual for 35 young beasties. He was introduced as Chef Nat.

so irritated

we got new tires about a year ago at Sears and they totally messed up our rim/wheels. we haven’t been able to rotate them anywhere. my brakes are totally dead right now and i spent 2.5 hours waiting to have them fixed only for the place to tell me that they couldn’t fix them because they couldnt get the rims off. I am so ticked off right now. this totally ruined my day off.

you gotta stop sending me this!

haha. everybody keeps reminding me how ugly philly is. not the city, but the people inside of it.

Philadelphia is home to the least attractive people in the United States, a survey of visitors and residents showed on Friday. The city of more than 1.5 million people was also found to be among the least stylish, least active, least friendly and least worldly, according to the “America’s Favorite Cities” survey by Travel & Leisure magazine and CNN Headline News.

About 60,000 people responded to the online survey — at www.travelandleisure.com — which ranked 25 cities in categories including shopping, food, culture, and cityscape, said Amy Farley, senior editor at the magazine.

For unattractiveness, Philadelphia just beat out Washington DC and Dallas/Fort Worth for the bottom spot. Miami and San Diego are home to the most attractive people, the poll found.
